What are courgette chips?

Courgette chips (also known as zucchini chips) are thin slices of courgette that are seasoned and cooked until crispy. They are a healthy alternative to potato chips, offering a light, crunchy texture with a mild, slightly sweet flavour.

Why should you eat courgette chips?

  • Less Oil: Can be baked or air-fried instead of deep-fried.

Crispy, Flavourful & Versatile

  • Customisable: Try different seasonings like paprika, garlic, or Parmesan.
  • Crunchy Satisfaction: A crispy snack without the guilt.
  • Pairs Well with Dips: Enjoy with hummus, guacamole, or yogurt-based dips.

Easy to Make at Home

  • Only a few ingredients needed.
  • Can be baked, air-fried, or dehydrated.
  • Stays crispy for hours when stored properly.

Ingredients

  • 3 Courgettes, thinly sliced

  • ½ tsp Onion powder
  • ½ tsp Chilli powder
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C.
  2. Set aside the courgettes for 20 minutes. Dry the slices with some paper towel to absorb extra moisture (the dryer the courgettes the crispier they will get).
  3. Season the courgettes with the onion powder, chilli powder and mustard seeds then bake in the oven for around 2 hours or until they reach your desired consistency.
  4. Remove, cool for a few minutes then enjoy!
