Waiting for an ADHD assessment can feel frustrating and overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. At Xyla, we proudly partner with Boots Pharmacy to make your assessment and treatment journey more accessible and convenient.
With the Right to Choose policy, you can take control of your journey. If you have a referral from your GP, you can choose Xyla as your provider, empowering you to make informed decisions about your healthcare. At Xyla, your preferences matter, and we’re here to support you.
Take the first step towards clarity and support with Xyla by your side.
Choosing Xyla means choosing a trusted provider who puts your wellbeing first. We focus on your strengths in all assessments and reports, ensuring you receive a personalised approach to your ADHD care.
Our highly trained clinicians are dedicated to supporting you with compassionate care throughout your entire journey. We are equiped to offer post-diagnostic support, prescribe medication when necessary, and deliver excellent, evidence-based psychoeducation to help you thrive. With all our services available online, we make it easy for you to access care from the comfort of your home, empowering you to take control of your journey without added stress.
If you’re just beginning to explore ADHD, the first step is to complete a self-report form. This will help you and your GP understand your symptoms and experiences. Once you’ve completed the form, book an appointment with your GP to discuss your concerns and ask them to refer you to Xyla through the NHS Right to Choose.
If you’ve already had a conversation with your GP and completed your self-report form, you can now choose Xyla as your provider. Simply download our referral letter template and ask your GP to submit a referral to Xyla on your behalf. Once that’s done, we’ll take care of the rest and guide you through the process. We take a step-by-step approach to ensure every individual receives a thorough and accurate ADHD assessment.
Whether you’re just beginning your journey or are further along, our team is here to support you every step of the way…
Once your GP submits the referral, we’ll send you an email to confirm that we’ve received it. From there, we’ll enroll you in our system, and our team will begin reviewing your case.
After we confirm your referral, you’ll receive additional forms to complete, helping us gather important information for your assessment. A family member or close contact will also be asked to fill out an “informant questionnaire.” Once completed, you can submit all forms online.
You’ll be scheduled for your ADHD assessment which will take place online through our secure video platform. You’ll need:
In most cases, you’ll get the results of your ADHD assessment on the same day. If more information is needed, your clinician will explain the next steps.
Within a few weeks, you’ll receive a detailed report by email or through our portal. This will include the assessment outcome, along with any helpful recommendations from our clinicians.
If you’re diagnosed and choose not to take medication, you may be invited to join a personalised post-diagnostic program. This program provides strategies and tools to support your needs, with guidance from a highly trained neurodevelopmental expert.
At Xyla, we have a dedicated team of professionals committed to supporting you. Our experts include nurses, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, and psychologists who work collaboratively to provide an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive assessment, along with exceptional post-diagnostic support.
All our clinicians are highly qualified and experienced, ensuring you receive the best care possible. We adhere to the highest standards of practice and the NICE guidelines, so you can trust that you’re in good hands.
It’s important to know that there are some situations where you cannot exercise your right to choose your service provider. You won’t be able to choose if:
If any of these apply to you, you will not be able to directly choose Xyla as your provider at this time. If you’re unsure or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us for a confidential discussion.
