Important information about your Right to Choose

It’s important to know that there are some situations where you cannot exercise your right to choose your service provider. You won’t be able to choose if:

  • You are receiving urgent or emergency care.
  • You are already getting treatment for the condition you’re being referred for.
  • You are in prison, temporarily released from prison, or in other specific settings (like a court, secure children’s home, secure training centre, immigration removal centre, or a young offender’s institution).
  • You are held in a hospital under the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • You are a serving member of the armed forces (but your family members in England have the same rights as other residents).

If any of these apply to you, you will not be able to directly choose Xyla as your provider at this time. If you’re unsure or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us for a confidential discussion.
