Overcoming mental health challenges can be daunting, but you’re not alone. Xyla offers tailored digital mental health support for your specific needs. We provide a digital therapy service that’s easy to access remotely at a time and place most convenient to you.
Xyla is an established healthcare organisation that can offer you specialist digital mental health support. We work closely with the NHS to help them with mental health referrals. If you’ve recently been referred, you can rely on us for a full programme of support from your very first step.
We’re also proud to be part of Acacium Group, a leading global healthcare delivery partner.
We offer guided self-help therapy sessions, providing services for specific mental health conditions such as low mood, depression, and anxiety. The programme usually follows a structure of weekly sessions held remotely online and over the phone.
The treatment we offer can support several different mental health conditions including low mood and depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
This is an evidence-based approach to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). We will help you identify and change negative thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and acting.
CBT gives you practical tools and advice for managing the symptoms of mental health conditions. It is a short-term yet effective treatment that provides you with ongoing skills to take control of your thoughts and behaviours.
Your therapy will usually start with a one-to-one assessment with a Xyla clinician. This may seem daunting, but your clinician will be there to guide and support you. As part of your assessment, you’ll also be asked to complete a questionnaire in advance. This is just to help your clinician understand the type of therapy that will be ideal for you and the most suitable next steps.
Following your initial assessment, you’ll have an agreed number of weekly sessions with the same therapist each week. They will ask you to complete questionnaires about your symptoms and will support you with addressing difficulties and working towards goals.
Our digital platform offers you talking therapy treatment that adapts to your schedule. You can access it at any time, ensuring you get support whenever and wherever you need it, in a choice of 40 languages. All your digital therapy sessions will be held remotely, adding to the convenience.
“My therapist has helped support me through a difficult time, providing insight and encouragement that has allowed me to find my way with what is troubling me. She is an empathetic and intuitive therapist. I’m so glad to have known her and had the benefit of her knowledge and experience.”
We ask all patients to complete a questionnaire about their symptoms at every weekly session. This helps our therapists to track progress and ensure sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each patient. The recent outcomes from these questionnaires of patients who completed treatment showed that:
no longer experienced symptoms of low mood or anxiety
(above the national average of 50%)
reported a clinically significant improvement in low mood and anxiety
(above the national average of 67%)
Research has shown that people who access therapy quicker are more likely to overcome their mental health problems. With Xyla, help is readily available with reduced waiting times, providing timely access to therapy.
Our platform is available seven days a week. You can seek assistance whenever you need it, whether you’re having challenges at work or feeling overwhelmed in your relationships.
Our team of accredited mental health professionals is equipped to address a range of challenges, from stress and anxiety to life transitions. We’ll collaborate with you to develop a personalised treatment plan that aligns with your goals.
Our mission is to empower you to take charge of your mental health journey. We provide the tools and support necessary for you to overcome challenges, track progress, and develop resilience.
We invited our patients to share their feedback and views about their mental health treatment. Here’s what they had to say:
“I hesitated to start therapy, thinking I was fine, but I wasn’t addressing the real issues. Each session brought clarity, and my therapist made everything make sense. I now feel calmer, more confident, and would urge anyone considering therapy to try it—it’s life-changing.”
My therapist was wonderful, helping me apply mental health tools and manage the sources of my depression. They were also knowledgeable and open to discussing LGBT+ issues, which was crucial for me during my gender transition. I found them professional, understanding, and friendly.”

Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
Hello, I’m Rebeka. I have been a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for 3 years, and a Senior Practitioner for one year. I have a qualification in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Supervising Low Intensity Practitioners. A big proportion of my role is supervising the Low Intensity Network who complete assessments for services and guided self-help, a type of CBT. Another big area of my role is being part of the duty team. I support in making clinical decisions on risk and safeguarding queries. This also involves contacting patients, completing referrals to a secondary care service and liaising with the crises team and our partnership services. I also debrief practitioners after calls with patients. I carry out administrative tasks too, including reviewing recovery statistics and supporting patients in reaching these.“
CBT Supervisor
Hi I’m Tasha, and I’m a CBT Clinical Supervisor.
I am currently nestled in the Cotswolds with my family, our very cheeky labrador and my jungle of houseplants! My journey into talking Therapies started over twelve years ago when I took the role as a mental health recovery worker for Rethink Mental illness. This involved working with clients transitioning from psychiatric wards into their homes and community. This was an amazing opportunity to work with some truly wonderful clients and engage in different therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Art therapy and ACT to help maintain all their hard work completed on the wards.
I have been so privileged to work with some exceptional psychologists and therapist, involved in creating the CBT interventions and protocols we all use in practice.
I have worked within Talking Therapies services for around 9 years, providing CBT and EMDR to patients with mild to moderate depression and anxiety disorders. Within this period, I have supervised both PWPs and HICBT. Around three years ago, I made the move to Xyla as a permanent member of staff, and I have not looked back! I look forward to supervising you during your work at Xyla!
Treatment options can include the following, Guided-Self Help, CBT, Counselling, IPT, DIT or EMDR. We have provided an overview of these on our website.
The length of treatment varies depending on which type of therapy would work best for you. Our treatments last between 6-12 sessions.
We offer therapy in line with the NHS Nice Guidance for psychological therapy, meaning our treatments are evidence-based and have been proven to be the most effective type of therapy.
Yes, we work hard to ensure your information remains confidential. There are limits to this confidentiality however, though this would only be in cases where we feel there may be a risk to yourself or other people. Your therapist would discuss this with you first.
Our therapy sessions are completely free when you are referred to us by your local NHS talking therapy service.
Therapy sessions tend to take place every week and last between 30-60 minutes on average. Within sessions, your therapist will take time to understand your difficulties and will work with you collaboratively to help you to work through these.
