Xyla’s Role in the BSE Charter of Minimum Standards

The British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) has collaborated with key partners, including Xyla, to establish a charter of minimum standards for insourced and community services to the NHS. This initiative underscores our collective commitment to delivering high-quality care and ensuring patient safety across all services.

At Xyla, providing excellent, high-quality services to patients and clients is our top priority. We are proud to be part of the BSE charter of minimum standards for insourced and community services to the NHS.

This charter puts emphasis on the importance of quality assurance in healthcare delivery and the continuous monitoring and evaluation of our services to ensure they meet defined standards, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. Our quality assurance and audit procedures align with this charter, reinforcing our commitment to high quality patient led services.

Xyla’s Services Audit process

  1. On-site audit conducted
  2. Results presented to Trust for transparency and addressing clinical concerns
    • If Satisfactory – trust is added to our regular audit rota
    • If Unsatisfactory – development and advice provided, the audit is then repeated within 4 – 6 weeks
  3. Up to 5% of all echocardiograms are audited per staff member, this is conducted ‘by a BSE accredited regionals/quality lead
  4. All results are shared with the Trust

Patient safety is a cornerstone of high-quality healthcare. We believe that healthcare providers must create a safe environment, implement best practices, and continuously improve safety protocols. By equipping clinicians with the right tools, training, and resources, we can ensure that patient care is both effective and safe.

Patient and Partner Experiences

95% of patients would be likely, or extremely likely to recommend our services.
(Picker Survey October 2024)
