Neurodevelopmental services

Xyla recognises the mounting pressure faced by the healthcare sector amidst a surge in demand for ADHD and autism assessment and post-diagnostic treatment services and the challenges this brings to both patients and healthcare professionals.

Enhancing care with streamlined ADHD and autism support

Our specialised ADHD and autism services support managing wait lists and optimising resource utilisation, from assessment to treatment, ensuring patients can access timely diagnosis and support.

Through a collaborative and co-designed approach, we ensure that our service integrates with your existing processes to efficiently tackle the backlog of assessments, driving efficiencies and delivering a quality service to your patients.

Our services

ADHD assessments

Our ADHD pathway is delivered by experienced, multi-disciplinary clinicians trained in evidence-based frameworks and NICE-guided protocols. We utilise gold-standard tools, including comprehensive diagnostic interviews and standardised rating scales, to ensure robust and accurate diagnosis. Our streamlined triage and assessment process allows us to support patients efficiently, reducing wait times and improving access. We also offer tailored post-diagnostic support, medication and psychoeducation to help individuals and families manage ADHD beyond the assessment.

Autism assessments

Our autism diagnostic assessments follow best-practice guidance and are delivered by clinicians trained in tools such as ADOS-2 and the ADI-R. We adopt a neuro-affirmative and family-centred approach, recognising and celebrating neurodiversity while offering clear and comprehensive feedback to support understanding and onward planning. Our team works flexibly with families and professionals to ensure the process is sensitive, thorough, and well-supported from referral to diagnosis and beyond.

Our approach

Virtual and face-to-face assessments

We offer both virtual and face-to-face ADHD, autism and combined assessments to provide flexible and cost-effective services. Our approach ensures that individuals and their families or caregivers receive the support they need in the most convenient manner.

Efficient contract mobilisation

At Xyla, we excel in mobilising contracts swiftly and efficiently. Whether dealing with complex contracts or high volumes of assessments, we ensure a rapid and effective mobilisation process to meet your needs, often within 4-6 weeks of contract award.

Collaboration with local systems

We believe in working together to develop services that align with local processes and provide individuals with the best support and care. We bring together key stakeholders from your organisation and the wider system, if needed. This collaborative approach ensures our services are tailored to meet your specific needs and deliver optimal outcomes for patients.

Optimised appointment scheduling

Our autism and ADHD service implements an appointment scheduling system that optimises clinical hours and ensures maximum utilisation of available assessment slots. We offer flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of individuals accessing our services. We can provide additional face to face assessment capacity by utilising your available and unused clinic space during evenings and weekends as well as providing additional space with our access to clinic rooms across the country.

When appropriate for the patient, Xyla’s virtual assessment services are delivered to the highest clinical standards and support to clear waiting lists more efficiently by allowing patients to access services in the comfort of their own home and at a time which suits them most.

Words from our clients

I just wanted to say thank you, well there is not enough thank yous for how I’m feeling right now. The whole process was amazing, the understanding, professionalism and dedication from Faye and Alice was so evident and I cannot speak highly enough of both of them. For the first time my daughter felt truly understood and I am so grateful to have seen that little light switch on in her when she engaged with someone who cared and got her! It means so much.
