Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join an endoscopy unit, supporting clinical staff and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of patients for endoscopy procedures
Support nursing staff during procedures
Provide patient care pre- and post-procedure
Ensure clinical areas are clean, stocked, and prepared
Assist with moving and handling patients safely
Monitor and record basic observations
Provide reassurance and support to patients
Maintain high standards of infection control

Requirements

Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting (NHS)
Endoscopy experience desirable but not essential
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
Flexible and proactive approach to work
