Audiology Assistant (Paediatrics) – Weekend‑Only – East of England


Insourcing Opportunity

Are you an experienced Audiology Assistant or Newly Qualified Audiologist with strong paediatric skills looking for flexible, high‑impact weekend work? We are seeking dedicated clinicians to support paediatric audiology services across the East of England on a weekend‑only insourcing basis.


About the Role

As a Weekend Audiology Assistant, you will support paediatric hearing assessment clinics to help reduce waiting lists and improve patient access. You will work within established NHS audiology services, collaborating with qualified Audiologists and clinical teams to ensure smooth, child‑friendly clinic delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting paediatric hearing assessments and play‑based testing
  • Preparing clinical rooms and equipment for audiology sessions
  • Assisting clinicians during appointments, including behavioural and electrophysiological testing
  • Managing patient flow, documentation, and basic administrative tasks
  • Ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children and families
  • Following departmental and NHS clinical protocols at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Audiology Assistant, ideally within paediatric services
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with children and parents
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within clinical teams
  • Weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
