At Xyla, we believe strong partnerships are essential to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based diabetes remission support. By working collaboratively with leisure providers and leading academic institutions, we help people with type 2 diabetes access ongoing support, physical activity opportunities and the chance to contribute to research that deepens understanding of type 2 diabetes remission.
Through our partnerships, individuals completing the NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission programme can benefit from additional lifestyle support and engage in research that is shaping the future of diabetes care.
Freedom Leisure is a national leisure trust committed to improving health and wellbeing in local communities.
Through our partnership with Freedom Leisure, individuals who have completed the Total Diet Replacement stage of the NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission programme can access supportive physical activity opportunities designed to help maintain the progress they’ve made.
This partnership focuses on building confidence, encouraging regular movement, and helping individuals find enjoyable, sustainable ways to stay active.

By taking part, individuals can contribute to research that will help improve how diabetes remission programmes are designed and tailored in the future. Participants are asked to complete a short questionnaire and provide follow‑up health information after finishing the programme.
