Your assessment with Xyla

At Xyla, we’re specialists in ADHD and autism services, providing personalised support and ongoing care. Our expert-led assessments offer accurate diagnoses and a clear path forward, so you can get the answers and support you need.

Understanding your assessment journey

We’re dedicated to delivering gold-standard ADHD and autism assessments for adults, children and teenagers. We understand that everyone’s needs are unique, which is why we offer flexible options for in-person or virtual assessments, so you can choose what suits you best.

Our approach is thorough, compassionate, and personalised, focusing not only on challenges but also on each person’s strengths.

Here’s what to expect:

Initial questionnaires

You’ll begin by completing a set of questionnaires, which our team will carefully review and analyse. For children’s assessments, these are filled out by parents or guardians.

Additional questionnaires

We may also ask someone close to you, like a friend, partner, parent, sibling, or colleague, to complete a short questionnaire. If you have any school or health reports, feel free to share those too – they can be really helpful. These questionnaires will only be sent with your consent. 

Assessment sessions

You can choose online or face-to-face sessions. The assessment includes observations and a detailed clinical interview with our experienced team. You’re welcome to bring someone along for support – and for children, we invite parents or guardians to attend too.

Multi-disciplinary team review

After your assessment, our team will carefully review everything that’s been shared. Using trusted, nationally recognised diagnostic tools in line with NICE guidelines, they’ll agree on any diagnoses and recommend the most appropriate next steps, including post-assessment treatment options.

Feedback session

You’ll have a follow-up session, either virtual or by phone, with the clinician who led your or your child’s assessment. Together, we’ll talk through the results, what they mean, and any next steps, like referrals for therapy or other support options. 

Detailed report

You’ll receive a clear, detailed report after your feedback session. Our reports follow NICE guidelines and are fully recognised by the NHS and local authorities.

  • Admin Support Team: Available Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm to assist with bookings, general enquiries and other administrative support.
  • Clinical Team: Our clinicians conduct assessments and provide treatment Monday to Sunday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm.
