Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist – Community-Based Service (Inner London)

Location: Inner London – Chelsea, Hammersmith, Fulham (School-based clinics)

Service Type: Community Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service

Position: Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday service, weekdays only.

Start : ASAP

Duration: Ongoing, with potential for extension.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to provide assessment and therapy intervention to children and young people with speech and language disorders within the inner London area. This service will be delivered in schools and clinic settings, focusing on the provision of high-quality care to children, including advanced practice in Dysphagia (if trained).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessments & Therapy Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments and provide therapy interventions to children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Dysphagia Advanced Practice: For those trained in Dysphagia, advanced practice skills will be utilized in the assessment and treatment of children with swallowing difficulties.
  • School-Based Clinics: Provide therapy services in school settings within the areas of Chelsea, Hammersmith, and Fulham.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Must be HCPC and RCSLT registered.
  • Dysphagia training is required for advanced practice.
  • Experience working with children and young people with speech and language disorders.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Complete and maintain accurate patient records and therapy reports.
  • Collaborate with schools, families, and other professionals as required to support the child’s progress.

Compliance & Special Requirements:

  • All candidates must hold relevant qualifications and be HCPC/RCSLT trained.
  • Dysphagia training required for advanced practice.
