About the Role
Xyla Elective Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Paediatrics Occupational Therapist to join our weekend service in Hertfordshire. This role focuses on supporting children aged 5–18 through comprehensive assessments and tailored intervention plans, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes.
Requirements
· HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
· Paediatrics experience essential, particularly in:
o Functional difficulties
o Personal activities of daily living
o Home access assessments
· Working at Band 6 level
· Familiarity with EHCP processes desirable
· Ability to complete required admin and reporting (SystmOne, Xyla Data Capture, Service Delivery reports)
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Intervention
· Complete initial paediatric OT assessments (approx. 90 minutes) for children aged 5–18, focusing on:
o Functional difficulties
o Personal activities of daily living
o Home environment access
· Undertake child scoring, set SMART targets, and create intervention plans.
