Consultant Cardiologist

Consultant Cardiologist role.

• Remote
• Flexible, zero-hours consultancy model
• Training provided
• 2-4 hours/week commitment, with flexible scheduling. Work to be completed between the hours of 6-8pm weeknights. 
• Laptop provided
• Must be UK based GMC registered substantive or recently left NHS trust
• Proven experience as a Consultant Cardiologist. 
• Weekly payment 
• £100 per hour.

Desirable

• Experience in Electrophysiology: cardiac rhythm analysis and management.
• Experience in insourcing or community diagnostic models.
• Strong understanding of NHS frameworks, including CQC standards.
• Prior involvement in clinical audits or governance panels.
• Previous Use of or awareness of Sentinel Reporting systems.
• Previous use of / awareness of SystmOne electronic patient record system.

 Clinical work:

• Deliver and support the production of high-quality, insightful reports that reflect our commitment to accuracy, clarity, and impact, which enable community-based care.
• Provide high quality written advice and guidance to referring clinicians on the Amber and Red 12 lead ECG and Ambulatory ECG reports produced by our remote team of reporting physiologists
• Act as a clinical resource for our services. 

Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance

• Provide expert input into reviewing site policies, SOPs, risk assessments, and audit frameworks.
• Participate in incident reviews, complaints resolution, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure services meet CQC expectations and professional standards for audiology practice.
• Actively engage in quality assurance procedures such as audit and peer review.
