Exciting Opportunity for Medicine Management Technicians at Mid and South Essex NHS – Southend Hospital!

Start dates: 6th May, 12th May

Payment method will be PAYE

Location: Southend Hospital
Service Type: Pharmacy – Urgent Emergency Care Department service to Acute Medical Admission wards
Positions Available: Band 6 Pharmacy Technicians
Contract Pattern: Monday to Friday (No weekends required) – Role Share Available
Shift patterns: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm (on a Rota basis)
Contract Duration: 6 months (May to October/November)

Duties Include:

Close working with Clinical Pharmacists
Medicines reconciliation for all new admissions
Key member of the MDT
Counselling patients prescribed high risk medicines
Near patient TTA dispensing

Experience Required:

Registration with GPhC
Recent, NHS hospital experience
Medicine Reconciliation experience
Patient Counselling experience
Multi-Disciplinary Team working experience
