Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join the team at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting diagnostic endoscopy clinics during weekends, ensuring smooth patient pathways, safety, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
•    Assist in diagnostic endoscopy procedures, including:
o    Gastroscopy
o    Colonoscopy
o    Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
•    Ensure patient lists are managed effectively, with balanced allocation of JAG points across rooms.
•    Provide leadership in a busy clinical environment, maintaining calm under pressure.
•    Support admission, discharge, and recovery of patients as needed.
•    Communicate effectively with the team to ensure patient safety and smooth workflow.

Requirements
•    Experience:
o    Band 6 Endoscopy Nurse with 12–24 months of experience in a similar role.
o    Expertise across all areas of the endoscopy pathway, including admission, in-room procedures, and recovery/discharge.
•    Skills:
o    Strong leadership and communication skills.
o    Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
