Ceri Garratt

Background and expertise

Ceri brings a strong operational background, having previously served as Operations Director for Xyla Care Assessments. In this role, she led large-scale, multi-agency contracts and managed remote multidisciplinary teams, developing a practical and solutions-focused approach to governance and service delivery. Her experience enables her to balance regulatory requirements with the realities of frontline care, ensuring services remain both high quality and sustainable.

She holds an MSc in Regeneration for Practitioners from the University of Chester, alongside qualifications in business management, mentoring, counselling and leadership. Her academic work includes research into appropriate housing for people living with young-onset dementia, reflecting her long-standing commitment to improving care for vulnerable groups.

Prior to joining Xyla, Ceri spent more than five years at Dementia UK, where she played a key role in establishing Admiral Nurse services across the UK. This experience continues to shape her passion for improving dementia care, alongside her broader focus on mental health, inclusion and wellbeing.
