ODP – Gynaecology Day case Theatres ( East Yorkshire)

We are recruiting an experienced Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to support the Gynaecology Day Case Theatre service in East Yorkshire. This role involves working as part of the theatre team to deliver safe, efficient and patient‑centered care for a range of gynae procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in theatre preparation and setup for gynae procedures
  • Provide skilled support in anaesthetic, scrub, or recovery areas depending on experience
  • Maintain safe patient care throughout the peri‑operative pathway
  • Adhere to infection control, safety standards and Trust policies
  • Support the smooth running of theatre lists and effective patient flow
  • Complete all required documentation during the shift

Experience Required

• Previous experience as an ODP or Theatre Practitioner (essential)
  • Experience within gynecology theatres is desirable
  • HCPC registration required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols and maintain high safety standards

Working Pattern

• Saturday & Sunday
  • 08:00–18:00/19:00 (Theatres)
  • Approximately 10 patients per day (full theatre list)
