Catherine Hewson

Diagnostics & Screening Director
Cath joined Xyla in 2021 as Cardiology Diagnostics Operations Manager. She then progressed to Head of Clinical Operations for Echocardiography and more recently Diagnostics & Screening Director.

In her role, Cath leads both the Diagnostics & Screening teams and is responsible for operational and commercial performance. Cath works closely with Xyla’s governance and sales teams to ensure that we can grow and diversify successfully and effectively, while delivering exceptional, high-quality services.

With 30 years of experience in various healthcare settings, including NHS and industry roles, Cath’s dedication, passion, knowledge, and clinical expertise support Xyla to provide clinically led services, consistently meeting and exceeding patient and client expectations.

Nicole Fadden

Head of Clinical Operations (Echocardiography)
Nicole is an HCPC-registered Healthcare Scientist with over 15 years’ experience in the NHS and a further five years in industry. She holds BSE accreditation in echocardiography and EHRA certification in cardiac rhythm management.

Nicole joined Xyla in 2021 as Quality Lead for Blood Pressure and ECG services, where she focused on driving clinical excellence and service improvement. In 2023, she progressed into the role of head of clinical operations (Cardiology), leading community cardiology services, remote ECG analysis, and cardiac device and catheter laboratory services.

As of January 2026, Nicole transitioned into the role of Head Of Clinical Operations for Echocardiography. Her passion lies in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while improving operational efficiency across the cardiovascular pathway.

Daniel Lamb

Training & Development Lead (Echocardiography)
Daniel joined Xyla in 2021 as a Regional Lead Echocardiographer before progressing to his current position as Training and Development Lead in Echocardiography in 2022. As an HCPC-registered Healthcare Scientist, he oversees the training and professional development of our echocardiography workforce

Daniel joined Xyla in 2021 as a Regional Lead Echocardiographer before progressing to his current position as Training and Development Lead in Echocardiography in 2022. As an HCPC-registered Healthcare Scientist, he oversees the training and professional development of our echocardiography workforce, with a significant focus on recruiting and supporting overseas clinicians as they work towards UK accreditation.

In his role, Daniel leads on shaping training pathways, strengthening clinical standards, and ensuring our teams are equipped with the skills and support needed to deliver consistently high-quality services. His passion for education and quality assurance is reflected in his work as a British Society of Echocardiography assessor, a position he has held since 2020.

With more than a decade of experience in the NHS—including leadership positions in district general hospitals and clinical roles within tertiary cardiac centres across London and Essex—Daniel brings extensive expertise, dedication, and a strong commitment to developing the echocardiography workforce of the future.

Rozanne Moreton

Echocardiography Service Manager
Rozanne joined Xyla in 2023 as a Regional Lead Echocardiographer and has since progressed into the role of Service Manager for Echocardiography. Her position combines leadership, managerial, and patient‑facing responsibilities.

Rozanne leads a national team of echocardiographers, providing support to both permanent and bank staff, while also delivering echocardiography services in clinics across her region.

Alice Morris

Lead ECG Reporting Physiologist
Alice joined Xyla permanently in 2025 as Lead ECG Reporting Physiologist, following several years of locum echocardiography work with the organisation since 2021.

Alice joined Xyla permanently in 2025 as Lead ECG Reporting Physiologist, following several years of locum echocardiography work with the organisation since 2021. She brings 15 years of NHS experience and is driven by a strong commitment to patient care and team development.

In her role, Alice oversees the remote analysing physiologist team, comprising four cardiac physiologists, who deliver analysis of 12‑lead and ambulatory ECGs for community services and NHS Trusts nationwide. Alongside undertaking clinical analysis herself, she conducts monthly peer reviews to monitor clinical excellence, produces reports for partner sites and Trusts, and ensures all standard operating procedures remain current and robust. Alice and her team are also actively involved in the training and oversight of cardiographers within the division, supporting them to achieve excellence in their clinical practice and patient care.

Katherine Collins

Quality Lead for Echocardiography (South)
Katherine is a cardiac physiologist with 20 years’ experience across both the NHS and private sector. She is an accredited echocardiographer and holds a Fellowship of the British Society of Echocardiography.

In her current role as Quality Lead for Echocardiography (South), Katherine divides her time between delivering clinical echocardiography and leading quality assurance across echocardiography contracts. She audits all echocardiography clinics in the south of the UK, providing structured feedback to staff and clients to ensure the highest clinical and service standards are achieved and maintained.

Rebecca Baggaley

Interim Head of Clinical Operations (Cardiology)
Rebecca Baggaley is a Cardiac Physiologist by background with nearly 20 years in the NHS, working across both clinical practice and education and training.

Rebecca joined Xyla over two years ago as a Community Echocardiographer, where she plays a key role in delivering high‑quality diagnostic services. She has extensive experience developing and delivering training programmes for Cardiac Physiologists and other staff groups, supporting skills, growth and service excellence.

She has been BSE accredited since 2010 and is an active member of the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (SCST). In addition, Rebecca is a member of the British Society of Echocardiography Workforce and Development Committee.

Her career reflects a strong commitment to clinical quality, education, and the ongoing workforce development.
